Welcome to the
Muswell Hill Child Contact Centre Website
The Muswell Hill Child Contact Centre is located at Muswell Hill Methodist Church in North London. It is a place for the children of separated parents to enjoy contact with their non-resident parent and sometimes other family members, in a comfortable and safe environment.
The Contact Centre service believes that in the majority of cases both parents have an important part to play in a child’s life. A breakdown of partnership between adults does not need to affect the long-term parent child relationship.
Over four thousand volunteers and staff work in Child Contact Centres throughout the UK, and over twenty thousand children use them each year. The National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) oversees the Centres.
We recognise that it can be difficult for children to maintain contact, and spend quality time with the parent that has left. This is where we try to help by providing a special neutral place for children to meet that parent and sometimes other family members.
Child Contact Centres operate in the best interest of the child. Volunteers are not there to take sides with any of the parties using the service.
The Contact Centre used for contact sessions is equipped with children in mind; providing toys, games and facilities for children of different ages.
